1. A free initial consultation.  This appointment sets the tone for the scope of your project and gives you a chance to meet us, to look at past projects and to ask any questions you may have regarding the details of your proposed project, such as time-line and complexity.

2. References.  Call them!  Most people don’t, but it’s the only way you will be able to tell whether or not we’ll do the job you expect us to do, with the level of professionalism not often found in this industry.  Ask detailed questioned: were we courteous, professional, did we respect the property and clean up daily?  Was the project completed on time and on-budget?

3. A written, detailed quote.  This is the only way to compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges when interviewing several contractors.  The contractor that gives you the best price may not be including key material to the project.  For example: contractor "A" says he can do your roof for $1000 less than contractor "B", but after scrutinizing the two estimates you find that contractor "A" didn’t include felt paper, Ice and Water shield or gutters in his estimate, which you thought would naturally be included in the job.  Without a detailed estimate - with segments of the job broken down, there is no way for you to confidently hire a contractor to do the job you expect.

4.  A contract in writing.  The contract you receive from us will include the start-date, approximate completion date, an approximate progress schedule and a payment schedule for each section of the project completed as well as proof of licenses and insurance (both workman’s comp - to cover us and liability - to cover your property).  In addition, you will be given a Notice of Cancellation, which is your 3-day right to cancel.  To learn more about Home Improvement and New Home Construction contracts click HERE.
